I woke up and crawled out of my
tunnel to a bright and sunny day. I made the short walk to the falls and washed
up for the day, I checked the other entrances to my home to make sure non have
caved in through out the night, the wolves who do perimeter checks at night
seem to forget that me, poor little Stu lives in those tunnels and like to run
and trample right over the entrances and tunnels. Tunnels checked I decide to travel to the town to see if there are any good crumbs or left overs from the
several CafĂ©’s in town. Which my favorites are the scones from Coffee Haven,
but rarely are there much leftovers.
I walk through the alley ways around
the different shops, one of the windows I love to look through is Simple
Treasures. All the shiny and pretty things, that I know several of the resident
dragons would love to get their hands on. I make my way towards Coffee Haven
and check the outdoor tables for any “treats” that may have been left behind,
sadly they were cleaned recently so no scraps there, as I walked towards the
garbage can by the front door it swung open! I shrieked and hurried to move
away before I became squished beneath some one’s shoe, but I must have scared
the human (or not human) with my wailing and they dropped their coffee and to
my luck their scone. I quickly grabbed the scone and scampered into the alley nearby.
I quickly made my way back to my
tunnels with my scone clutched in my mouth. I ran up the big rock by my home and just as I began my chitter to get my younglings to come get their breakfast
I heard a twig snap. My head snapped up and I noticed a human, maybe a hiker by
the pack she wore, she was holding a camera and had it trained right at me.
And this
kids is how the video of the Screaming Gopher of Havenwood Falls came to be.
Thanks for reading!!
