As many of you may know I love to read, and I have done a lot of posts for authors and their books, but one thing that never came to mind was doing an interview. So now I finally have one and it is so interesting to see what makes an author tick and how they figure out characters and what to write

What research do you do for your books?
It depends on the book. The Strange Lands Saga, for example, draws on a lot of historical cultures, so I had to do research for that. Something like The Emberlyn Chronicles, which is pure fantasy, gives me a lot more flexibility. For my science fiction stories, I try to get the basic technological details right, but I don't spend a lot of time going into specifics so as not to slow things down too much.

Arthur C. Clarke's 2001: A Space Odyssey. It also happens to be my favorite movie.

Why should someone read your books?
I think that if you like fast-paced, action-oriented books, my novels will appeal to you. I try not to bog my stories down with too much filler, so that usually keeps people turning the pages pretty quickly.

Where is your favorite place to travel?
I love the Scandinavian countries, but I'd have to say Egypt... in happier times, of course. I have a degree in anthropology, and I've been fascinated by Ancient Egypt since I was a kid. I've wanted to write a mummy-style paranormal story for a while. Maybe I should get on that!

I highly recommend his books, I have read The Lions Crown, Provocation and Brutality (in the Plague of Dragons, A Dragons Anthology). I couldn't put any of them down and can't wait to read more!
